New DVD and Blu-Ray Releases to Crave This Week: An Easy A with Salt on Wall Street: Step Up, Devil!

Hollywood is really pushing it - yet again pushing out a lot of decent movies just before Christmas. If you didn't pre-order, you'll have to put in a rush, but if you can wait a few days later, well, that's OK too.

1) To prove that she can still kick you ass, and look good while doing it, Angelina Jolie returns in Salt. As a CIA operative on the run, this is her bread and butter and it did good enough at the box office to prove she still has it.

2) With a recent Golden Globe nomination, Emma Stone proves she's no slouch either when it comes to acting. Easy A proves to me that the teen comedy is not dead and doesn't have to be filled with sophomoric humor and gross-out jokes to be good. I know this will be a solid rental from me.

3) If you still think greed is good after all these years, why not revisit old friends with Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. While I have no hopes that this will match the original in terms of story or resonance, I still think it's worth a watch just to see how they update the whole story to reflect these troubled financial times. Even Shia LaBeouf can't sour me.

4) If you aren't scared off by the name M. Night Shyamalan in the writing credit, then you may as well give Devil a chance. I'm not expecting to be blown away, but the premise looks interesting, if not implausible. I just hope there isn't some hokey twist at the end.

5) If you like mad dancing skills, yo, then you're going to be happy that Step Up 3 is also coming out. I'm not into the whole dancing thing myself, but far be it for me to deny this genre to someone who supports it.

Not too much new on Blu-Ray, though fans of Pierce Brosnan get The Matador and fans of gender-bending immortals have Orlando so if either of those descriptions apply to you, have at it.

Of course you can find all the information on new releases on the FilmCrave New DVD Releases and the FilmCrave New Blu-Ray Releases pages today.
