Belle Bella Thorne in a superficial movie

The Event took people we cared about,
but it also left a part of them behind.

When I saw “Shovel Buddies” a while ago, I decided to add the item “Watch movies with Bella Thorne playing in it” to my to-do list. Now, I have a large number of to-do lists in the meantime. I could wallpaper my living room with it. In short, too much talk and too little action. I was pleased to see at the beginning of the film that she also participated in “I still see you“. The only thing that surpris...

"I think I'm good at this. I mean puzzle."

This is amazing film about a woman who has never left home until she received a jigsaw puzzle as a gift on her birthday. Hands down to the screenplay! Each scene matters, all the lines, every word tries to say something really big, much bigger that it actually says. I love it so much that I want to do and finish a puzzle now. Kelly Macdonald did an amazing job portraying church-going homemaker, Agnes. I loved the transformation of the character, how she evolved from the first sequence where she...

Alpha is a heartwarming and beautifully filmed 'boy and his pet' styled adventure. The prehistoric setting helps it stand out from other such family movies.

Lizzie Has an Axe to Grind

True stories are always so much better when there is room for speculation. The story of Lizzie Borden has been told and re-told through books and film with plenty of theories put forth. What is known is that on August 4, 1892, Lizzie's father and step-mother were brutally murdered, with an axe being the weapon of choice. Following a sensational trial, with Lizzie as the main suspect, she was ultimately acquitted, though the reputation she garnered stayed with her for the rest of her life.

BlacKkKlansman  Add to movie list
Rating of: 3/4

Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman offers up a captivating piece of dark comedy heaven. It’s entertaining as hell from start to finish, featuring brilliant performances across the board, some great writing, confident directing and a spectacularly staged, genuinely tense climax. Undoubtedly Lee’s strongest film in years, BlacKkKlansman will be remembered and revisited for years to come.

Writer/director Christopher McQuarrie has crafted what is arguably one of the best action films of all time, certainly the very best since 2015's Mad Max: Fury Road, with Mission: Impossible - Fallout. It's a suspenseful, wholly engaging story brilliantly told, with a great performance by Tom Cruise and cast, and spectacularly staged and executed action sequences. This is action filmmaking at its best -- I cannot imagine a future Mission: Impossible film one-upping what McQuarrie has delivered ...

Top notch acting. The SF part is a letdown.

I don’t think the messages are a government broadcast.
It’s almost like they’re reacting to what we do.

Initially, I would immediately add “Await further instructions” to the list of “useless movies that only ensure that you don’t start running into the walls out of boredom”. But on the other hand, this low-budget indie-SF was fascinating and amusing enough in my opinion. Not because of the story, because that was completely absurd and contained a denouement that didn’t make any sense at al...

Open Your Eyes

Blindspotting is a very contemporary film that touches on a lot of real, raw subjects but keeps things grounded by approaching the subjects through the eyes of Collin (Daveed Diggs), who is just coming off a two-month prison stint and is nearly done with his probation period. With just three days left to go, his world is thrown into turmoil when he witnesses and unprovoked police shooting by Officer Molina (Ethan Embry).

The world of Blindspotting takes place in Oakland, California and surro...

Incredibles 2 Is Simply Super

It's not always the case, but often the longer the wait between sequels, the more likely it is the second film will disappoint. I'm happy to say that The Incredibles 2 not only bucks this trend, it gives me hope for the future of all long-awaited sequels. Brad Bird's original animated take on the super-hero genre was fresh, fun and had as much heart as it did action - combining memorable characters, solid story and humor. Incredibles 2 picks up right where the first film left off - and Bird doe...

Despite Jennifer Garner acting efforts, but her hard work is put to waste in this boring revenge movie. It's laughable how the title 'Peppermint' is named after an ice cream, and it wants to be taken serious.

Why dose Pierre Morel keep making these type of movies?
